"Esquisses Graphiques" presents the peparatory sketches of Daniel Buren's intervention named Excetrique(s) for MONUMENTA 2012 at the Grand Palais in Paris. This book follows the development of the project from the initial researches to the definitive choices. Thought like a collection of sketches, the book is printed on uncoated paper. A central insert on tracing paper representing the artist's intervention on the glass roof is placed on top of the sketch of the ground level. The spine shows the succession of the signatures which some have been colored on their spine to imitate a well know graphic code of the artist.

Présenter les croquis préparatoires de l’intervention de Daniel Buren : Excentrique(s) sous la nef du Grand Palais pour MONUMENTA 2012. Ce livre se veut suivre pas à pas la conception du projet, des premières recherches jusqu’aux choix définitifs. Pensé comme un recueil d'esquisses, le livre est imprimé sur un papier bouffant avec un insert central sur papier calque représentant l'intervention sur la verrière du Grand Palais venant se superposer sur l'esquisse du projet au sol. Le dos nu laisse entrevoir la successions des cahiers dont certains dos ont été colorés pour reprendre un code graphique bien connu de l'artiste.
